The studio

Our little clubhouse in Leith

A collectively run, appointment only tattoo studio at 120 Pitt Street, built to be a warm and genuinely welcoming place to get tattooed.

Who we are

A collective of friends who tattoo

Best Friends Club has been going since 2021. It is a collectively run private studio, which means it is owned and looked after by the artists themselves rather than run as a chain. Everyone has a stake in the vibe, and it shows.

Now settled into a bright, open space in Leith, the studio was designed to feel welcoming from the moment you walk in. Free on street parking is right outside, there are bike racks by the door, and the customer space is on the ground floor with step free, wheelchair accessible access.

Appointment only, always

We work by appointment so every booking gets its own dedicated time. That means no rushing, a proper chat about your idea, and space to make sure you are comfortable and happy before anything starts.

What to expect

A warm welcome, from first message to healed tattoo

Say hello

Choose the artist whose style suits your idea, then message them directly. Because we are a collective, each artist runs their own diary and books their own clients.

Plan it together

Your artist will talk through the design, placement and size, and let you know how they price. Custom pieces are drawn especially for you ahead of the day.

Relax and enjoy it

On the day, take your time. The studio is calm, friendly and inclusive, and looking after how you feel matters just as much to us as how the tattoo turns out.

A space for everyone

Inclusive, queer friendly and relaxed

Getting tattooed should feel good for everyone. Best Friends Club is an inclusive and queer friendly studio, and our artists are used to making sure you feel safe, respected and at ease.

If you have specific access needs, or anything that would help you feel more comfortable, just let your artist know when you get in touch. We are always happy to talk it through.
